Eva Löbau, born on August 26, 1972, in Waiblingen, is a German actress active in film, television, and theatre. Trained at the prestigious Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, she began her career on stage, collaborating with prominent directors of the Berlin theatre scene. Her cinematic breakthrough is linked to director Maren Ade, who directed her in the lead role of the film *The Forest for the Trees* (2003), a role that earned her the Best Actress award at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema.
