Eva Vanicek, born in Verona in 1956, is an Italian actress whose career was concentrated predominantly in the 1970s. In that decade, she became a representative face of genre cinema, appearing in films that ranged from the *poliziottesco* and the *commedia sexy all'italiana* to thrillers. Her most celebrated role is that of Lia in the cult film *Avere vent'anni* (1978) by Fernando Di Leo, where she starred alongside Gloria Guida, a performance that established her as an icon of a generation. Her filmography includes other significant titles from the period, such as the *giallo* *Pensione paura* (1977) by Francesco Barilli, and successful crime films such as *La banda del gobbo* (1977) and *Il commissario di ferro* (1978). She also appeared in comedies such as *L'insegnante balla... con tutta la classe* (1979). Although her film career was relatively brief, her main recognition lies in her status as an emblematic figure of a prolific period of popular Italian cinema, of which she remains a recognizable symbol.
