Ewen Bremner is a Scottish actor, born in Edinburgh on January 23, 1972. He is best known internationally for his iconic role as Daniel "Spud" Murphy in Danny Boyle's cult film *Trainspotting* (1996), a character he reprised in the sequel *T2 Trainspotting* (2017). For this latter performance, he won a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actor.
