Rafael Martínez, known as Fele Martínez, is a Spanish actor born in Alicante on March 10, 1975. His career took off in 1996 with his debut film *Tesis* by Alejandro Amenábar, a performance for which he immediately won the Goya Award for Best New Actor. He solidified his reputation by collaborating again with Amenábar in *Abre los ojos* (1997) and working with other prominent directors such as Julio Medem in *Los amantes del Círculo Polar* (1998) and Pedro Almodóvar in *La mala educación* (2004). In addition to film, he has developed a prolific television career, appearing in internationally successful series such as *Gran Hotel*, and more recently, *Estoy vivo* and *La Unidad*. Also active in theater, where he co-founded the company Animalario, Martínez is considered one of the most versatile and consistent performers on the contemporary Spanish scene, capable of successfully alternating between dramatic and comedic roles.
