Francesco D'Adda is an Italian musician, keyboardist, and composer, primarily known for his work in progressive rock. His career took off when he joined Banco del Mutuo Soccorso in the early 1980s, replacing Gianni Nocenzi. With the historic Roman band, he participated in the recording of significant albums such as *Banco* (1983), *...e via* (1985), and, after a hiatus, *Il 13* (1994). Subsequently, he was a founding member of the neo-progressive group Nova Era, with which he recorded the album *L'ultimo viaggio*. In parallel, D'Adda developed a prolific career as a composer of soundtracks for film and television. Among his most recognized works is his collaboration with director Gabriele Salvatores on the film *Nirvana* (1997), whose soundtrack contributed to the film's success. His versatility and contribution to nationally significant projects have solidified his status as an important figure in Italian music.
