Frankie Darro
Frankie Darro, born Frank Johnson Jr. (1917-1976), was an American actor and stuntman whose career spanned from the silent era to the 1970s. He began his career as a child, becoming a familiar face in silent films thanks to his acrobatic skills, inherited from a family of circus performers. With the advent of sound, he specialized in roles as tough and rebellious youths, as in the drama *Wild Boys of the Road* (1933), and became a regular feature in film serials. His most internationally recognized performance remains the voice of the character Lampwick in the original version of the Disney classic *Pinocchio* (1940). As an adult, when acting roles became scarcer, he began a prolific second career as a stuntman, working uncredited on numerous prestigious productions, including *Spartacus*. For his contribution to the film industry, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
