Gérard Hernandez
Gérard Hernandez, born Julio Gerardo Hernandez in Valladolid, Spain, on January 20, 1933, is a French actor and voice actor of Spanish origin. Active since the 1950s, he has built a prolific film career as a character actor, appearing in over one hundred films, including notable titles such as *Le Cerveau* (1969) and *Coup de tête* (1979). However, his fame is inextricably linked to voice acting: his hoarse and unmistakable voice has brought to life iconic animated characters, such as Papa Smurf and Grouchy Smurf in the French version of *The Smurfs* series. Since 2009, he has solidified his popularity with the general public thanks to his role as Raymond in the highly successful sitcom *Scènes de ménages*, which he has played continuously. A familiar and beloved figure in French entertainment, his recognition lies in the longevity of his career and the cultural impact of his most celebrated characters, rather than in specific awards.
