
Gianfranco Bellini
Gianfranco Bellini (Palermo, July 10, 1924 – Rome, August 9, 2006) was an Italian voice actor, dubbing director, and actor, considered one of the most prominent figures in Italian dubbing. Active as a child actor in 1930s cinema, he dedicated his career almost exclusively to the world of voice acting. He is best known to the general public for being the official Italian voice of Donald Duck for nearly sixty years, from 1948 until his death, a role that made him an icon for generations. Throughout his long career, he dubbed famous international actors, including Alain Delon, James Caan, George Peppard in *Breakfast at Tiffany's*, Leonard Nimoy as Spock in the classic *Star Trek* series, and Larry Hagman in the unforgettable role of J.R. Ewing in *Dallas*. His versatility also led him to dub other animated characters, such as Yosemite Sam from Looney Tunes. For his fundamental contribution to the industry, he was awarded the Leggio d'oro for Lifetime Achievement in 1995.
