Gilles Arbona is a French writer, poet, and photographer, born in Algiers in 1947. Based in Toulouse, his artistic work explores themes such as memory, the Mediterranean landscape, absence, and travel, through precise and minimalist writing. His literary career is marked by works that intertwine narrative and lyricism, where words evoke rarefied and reflective atmospheres. His most notable works include the novels *Un hiver à Majorque* and *L'Embarcadère*, as well as key poetry collections such as *Le Peu de nuit*. For this latter work, he received one of French poetry's most significant awards, the prestigious Prix Artaud, in 2000.
