
Gisela Fackeldey
Gisela Fackeldey (1920-1986) was a German actress, active primarily in theatre but also with a significant career in film and television. For decades, she was a prominent member of the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin, where she was distinguished by her versatility and ability to portray complex roles. In cinema, she is remembered for her performances in notable films such as *The Devil's General* (1955) and especially *Aren't We Wonderful?* (1958). For the latter role, she received the Deutscher Filmpreis (German Film Award) for Best Supporting Actress, the most important recognition of her film career. From the 1960s onwards, she frequently appeared in television productions, including popular crime series such as *Derrick* and *The Old Fox*, consolidating her image with the general public as a highly talented and professional character actress.
