Glauce Rocha (Campo Grande, August 16, 1930 – São Paulo, October 12, 1971) was a Brazilian film and theater actress, considered one of the most important performers of her generation and a leading figure of Cinema Novo. She began her career on stage before establishing herself on the big screen, where she became known for her intense and charismatic performances. Her collaboration with the main directors of Cinema Novo cemented her status as one of the movement's iconic faces. Her most significant works include Leon Hirszman's *A Falecida* (1965), Glauber Rocha's *Terra em Transe* (1967), and the film adaptation of *Navalha na Carne* (1969). For her exceptional talent, she received numerous awards, including the Candango Trophy for Best Actress twice at the Brasília Festival of Brazilian Cinema, for *A Falecida* and *Navalha na Carne*. Her brilliant career was cut short at the age of 41, but her artistic legacy remains fundamental to Brazilian cinema.
