
Griffin Dunne
Griffin Dunne is an American actor, director, and producer whose career spans film and television. He gained international recognition as the lead actor in Martin Scorsese's cult film *After Hours* (1985), a role for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination and also served as a producer. His acting career also includes the iconic role in *An American Werewolf in London* (1981) and, more recently, his acclaimed performance as Nicky Pearson in the television series *This Is Us*, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. As a director, he has helmed successful comedies such as *Addicted to Love* (1997) and *Practical Magic* (1998). His versatility was also recognized with a 1996 Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film for *Duke of Groove*, which he directed and co-wrote. He also directed the intimate documentary about his aunt, Joan Didion, *The Center Will Not Hold* (2017).
