Hakim Faris, an Italian writer born in Morocco in 1993 and raised in San Donà di Piave (Venice), is one of the most significant voices in contemporary Italian literature. His literary work deeply explores the themes of identity, immigration, integration, and the social tensions experienced by second-generation immigrants. He made his debut in 2021 with the novel *Infanzia di un rivoluzionario*, a critically acclaimed work for which he won the Giuseppe Berto Prize for a debut novel. His style, direct and devoid of rhetoric, analyzes the contradictions of modern society. In 2024, he published his second novel, *La più preziosa delle merci*, consolidating his position in the literary landscape and winning the prestigious Comisso Prize. Through his narratives, Faris offers a lucid and necessary perspective on the complex cultural dynamics of contemporary Italy.
