Hans Alfredson
Hans Alfredson (1931-2017) was a Swedish actor, director, writer, and comedian, one of the most multifaceted and influential figures in 20th-century Swedish culture. His fame is inextricably linked to his partnership with Tage Danielsson, with whom he formed the comedy duo Hasseåtage, creators of celebrated theatrical revues, films, and radio programs that defined an entire generation. As a film director, Alfredson demonstrated remarkable versatility, ranging from the satirical and surreal comedy of works such as *Äppelkriget* (The Apple War, 1971) and *Picassos äventyr* (The Adventures of Picasso, 1978), to the intense drama of *Den enfaldige mördaren* (The Simple-Minded Murderer, 1982), starring Stellan Skarsgård. For his work, he received numerous awards, including several Guldbagge Awards—Sweden's most prestigious film award—for both directing and screenwriting. He was also an acclaimed actor and served as the director of the Skansen open-air museum in Stockholm from 1992 to 1994.
