
Harry Shearer
Harry Shearer is an American actor, comedian, voice actor, and musician, known worldwide for his work on the animated series *The Simpsons*. On the show, he voices a vast number of iconic characters, including Mr. Burns, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, and Reverend Lovejoy. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in 2014. His film career is inextricably linked to the mockumentary *This Is Spinal Tap* (1984), a film he co-wrote and in which he stars as bassist Derek Smalls. He continued his collaboration with director Christopher Guest on other satirical works such as *A Mighty Wind* and *For Your Consideration*. A multifaceted artist, Shearer is also a writer, director, and host of the long-running satirical radio program *Le Show*, which he created in 1983. His career also includes work on *Saturday Night Live* as a cast member and writer.
