Hazel Shermet (Providence, August 1, 1920 – Los Angeles, October 27, 2016) was an American actress and voice actress whose career spanned from radio to television. She became a familiar voice during the Golden Age of American Radio, appearing on hit shows such as *The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show*, where she was known for her character of the "giggling girl." With the advent of television, she brought her comedic talent to the small screen, guest-starring in numerous iconic series, including *The Addams Family*, *The Munsters*, and *Petticoat Junction*. One of her most recognizable television roles was that of Bernadette, a friend of the protagonist Emily, on the sitcom *The Bob Newhart Show*. Her vocal versatility also made her a sought-after voice actress for animated cartoons, collaborating with studios such as Hanna-Barbera.
