Helen Chandler (1906-1965) was an American actress, primarily active during the 1920s and 1930s. She began her career with great success on Broadway, where she became a celebrated stage performer at a young age. With the advent of sound film, she moved to Hollywood, reaching the peak of her fame with the role of Mina Seward in Tod Browning's classic horror film *Dracula* (1931), opposite Bela Lugosi. Her ethereal and fragile performance in this film remains the most iconic of her career. Her other significant film credits include *Outward Bound* (1930), *The Last Flight* (1931), and *Christopher Strong* (1933). Despite a promising start, her career suffered a rapid decline in the mid-1930s. Although she did not receive any major awards, her contribution to horror cinema has earned her lasting recognition among fans of the genre, cementing her status as a memorable figure from Hollywood's Golden Age.
