Herbert Edelman, known as Herb Edelman, was an American actor whose career was marked by numerous character roles in film and television. He rose to prominence in the 1960s with roles in major film adaptations of Neil Simon's works, such as Harry Pepper in *Barefoot in the Park* (1967) and Vinnie in *The Odd Couple* (1968). Although active on the big screen, it was on television that he became a familiar face to audiences.
