Hideyuki Hori (堀 秀行, Hori Hideyuki; born September 23, 1954, in Tokyo) is a Japanese voice actor, actor, and narrator. Affiliated with the prestigious agency Aoni Production, he has been a prominent figure in the world of Japanese voice acting since the 1980s. His powerful and versatile voice is inextricably linked to iconic characters from anime and video games. His most notable roles include Phoenix Ikki in *Saint Seiya*, Captain Ginyu in *Dragon Ball Z*, Warsman in *Kinnikuman*, Schwarz Bruder in *Mobile Fighter G Gundam*, and more recently, Bartholomew Kuma in *One Piece*. In the video game industry, he is known as the voice of Ryu Hayabusa in the *Dead or Alive* and *Ninja Gaiden* series. His long and prolific career was officially recognized in 2017 when he received the Merit Award at the 11th Seiyu Awards, a lifetime achievement award for his significant contribution to the animation industry. He comes from a family of actors; his older brother, Yukitoshi Hori, is also an accomplished voice actor.
