Hiroshi Hayashi, a Japanese artist and master glassmaker, is a prominent figure in the world of contemporary Murano glass. Born in Yamagata in 1961, he moved to Venice in 1991 after studying glass techniques in Tokyo. His artistic work is celebrated for its unique synthesis of refined Japanese aesthetic sensibility, inspired by nature and minimalism, and the complex technical tradition of Murano. Renowned for his exceptional mastery of techniques such as *incalmo* and the use of *murrine*, Hayashi creates works of extraordinary delicacy and chromatic precision. After collaborating with historic glassworks such as Salviati, he opened his own studio, where he produces vases and sculptures exhibited in international galleries and museums.
