**Hubertus Bengsch** (Berlin, 1948) is a German actor, voice actor, and dubbing director. Although primarily known for his prolific work in the field of dubbing – he is the German voice of actors such as Kevin Costner, Jeff Bridges, and Richard Gere – he has also had a significant career as a film and television actor.

His most iconic big-screen role is that of Lieutenant Thomsen in Wolfgang Petersen's celebrated anti-war film *Das Boot* (U-Boot 96) (1981), where he portrays a disciplined and tormented officer.
