
Isiah Thomas
Isiah Lord Thomas III is a former American basketball player, coach, and sports executive, considered one of the greatest point guards in basketball history. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000, his career is inextricably linked to the Detroit Pistons, who selected him in the 1981 draft. He was the charismatic leader of the team known as the "Bad Boys," leading them to two consecutive NBA titles in 1989 and 1990, the year he was named Finals MVP. During his career, he was selected to the NBA All-Star Game 12 times, winning the All-Star Game MVP award twice. After retiring from playing, he pursued a career as a coach and executive for several NBA franchises, as well as working as a television commentator. His impact on the game was further recognized with his inclusion on the NBA 50th Anniversary Team in 1996 and the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.
