Jack Angel (1930-2021) was an American actor, voice actor, and radio personality, known for his long and prolific career in animation and video games. After beginning his career as a radio DJ, he established himself as one of the most recognizable voices in 1980s animation, voicing iconic characters such as Astrotrain, Ramjet, and Smokescreen in the original *The Transformers* series, and King Zarkon in *Voltron*. His career continued with significant collaborations with Pixar, for which he lent his voice to supporting characters in successful films such as *Toy Story* (the toy shark and Rocky Gibraltar), *A Bug's Life*, and *Monsters, Inc.*.
