Jack Fisk
Jack Fisk is a renowned American production designer and art director, known for his meticulous and naturalistic approach to creating cinematic environments. His career is inextricably linked to director Terrence Malick, with whom he has collaborated since Malick's debut, *Badlands* (1973), continuing with films such as *Days of Heaven*, *The Thin Red Line*, and *The Tree of Life*. He has also forged significant collaborations with Paul Thomas Anderson, for whom he created the impressive production designs for *There Will Be Blood* and *Killers of the Flower Moon*, and with David Lynch on films such as *The Straight Story* and *Mulholland Drive*. His style is characterized by a pursuit of documentary-like realism, favoring the construction of complete and functional sets on real locations rather than in a studio, often using period-accurate materials and construction techniques. For his work, he has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Production Design for *There Will Be Blood* (2007), Alejandro G. Iñárritu's *The Revenant* (2015), and *Killers of the Flower Moon* (2023).
