**Jack Warden (1920-2006)** was an American actor known for his long and prolific career as a character actor. He immediately distinguished himself in supporting roles, such as in the classic *12 Angry Men* (1957), where he played Juror #7.

He received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in *Heaven Can Wait* (1978) and *Being There* (1979), demonstrating his versatility. Among his other significant films are *All the President's Men* (1976), *...And Justice for All.* (1979), and the comedy *Used Cars* (1980).

His distinctive style, often gruff but capable of great humanity, made him ideal for authoritarian, cynical, or working-class characters. An extremely versatile actor, equally at home in drama and comedy, he left an indelible mark on American cinema as one of its most reliable and recognizable supporting faces.
