Jacques Barthélémy

Jacques Barthélémy is a French architect known for his work with the firm Barthélémy Griño Architectes, which he founded with Sylvia Griño. His career is characterized by a rigorous and contextual architectural approach that combines formal modernity with a careful selection of materials, often favoring exposed reinforced concrete and glass. His most significant works include the Centre Dramatique National in Orléans, the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse and the renovation of the Stade de la Meinau in Strasbourg, and the LVMH research center for Parfums Christian Dior in Saint-Jean-de-Braye. His work has received major awards: in 1993, he was awarded the prestigious Équerre d'Argent for the Orléans theatre. In 1997, with Sylvia Griño, he won the Grand Prix national de l'architecture, the highest French award in the field of architecture, crowning an influential and consistent career.
