Jacques Renard
Jacques Renard is a French director and screenwriter born in 1944. His film career began in the 1970s, gaining his first major recognition in 1978 with the César Award for Best Fiction Short Film for *Haro*. His most notable feature films include *Une femme en fuite* (1982) and especially *Blanche et Marie* (1985), starring Miou-Miou and Sandrine Bonnaire, which was presented in competition at the Berlin Film Festival, consolidating his reputation as an auteur. He also worked as an assistant director on the acclaimed film *37°2 le matin* (1986) by Jean-Jacques Beineix. Parallel to his work for the big screen, Renard has developed a prolific career in television, directing numerous films and series that have allowed him to explore different genres.
