
Jason Isaacs
Jason Isaacs (Liverpool, June 6, 1963) is a British actor. After training at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, he began his career in theatre, also working for the Royal National Theatre. He achieved international fame playing memorable antagonists, including the cruel Colonel William Tavington in *The Patriot* (2000) and the aristocratic Death Eater Lucius Malfoy in the *Harry Potter* film series. His versatile film career also includes roles such as Captain Hook in *Peter Pan* (2003) and Marshal Zhukov in *The Death of Stalin* (2017). On television, he has starred in acclaimed series such as *Brotherhood*, *The OA*, and *Star Trek: Discovery*, in the role of Captain Gabriel Lorca. For his performances, he has received numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries *The State Within* and a BAFTA Award nomination for the film *Mass* (2021), a testament to his great skill and wide acting range.
