Javier Godino (Madrid, March 11, 1978) is a Spanish actor and singer. His career has spanned film, television, and, above all, theater, where he achieved great success with the musical *Hoy no me puedo levantar*, for which he won the Gran Vía de Teatro Musical Award for Best Leading Actor. He gained international fame in 2009 for his role as Isidoro Gómez in Juan José Campanella's film *The Secret in Their Eyes* (El secreto de sus ojos), winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. For this performance, he received a Goya Award nomination for Best New Actor and won the Spanish Actors and Actresses Union Award. His other film credits include *El elegido* (The Chosen), in which he portrays Trotsky's assassin, Ramón Mercader; *De tu ventana a la mía*; *Los días no vividos*; and the international co-production *Everybody Knows* (Todos lo saben) by Asghar Farhadi, alongside Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
