Jean-Jacques Aslanian was a French entrepreneur, best known as one of the co-founders of the home appliance retail chain Darty. Together with his brothers Natan and Marcel, starting in the 1950s, he transformed the small family textile shop, located in Montreuil, into a specialized retail empire. His career is inextricably linked to the development of Darty's business model, which he strongly shaped. Among his main achievements was the creation and implementation of the famous "contrat de confiance" (contract of trust), a revolutionary business philosophy for its time that guaranteed customers a comprehensive after-sales service, including delivery, installation, and repair.
