
Jean Topart
Jean Topart (Paris, 13 April 1922 – Le Port-Marly, 29 December 2012) was a French actor and voice actor whose career is inextricably linked to his deep, authoritative voice. He began his artistic career in the theater, joining the prestigious Théâtre National Populaire directed by Jean Vilar, before moving into cinema, where he acted in internationally acclaimed works such as Costa-Gavras's *Z* (1969), Valerio Zurlini's *The Desert of the Tartars* (1976), and Franco Zeffirelli's *La Traviata* (1983). However, his fame is primarily due to his prolific work as a narrator and voice actor. His unmistakable voice guided audiences through countless documentaries and brought iconic animated series characters to life, including Zeus in the original version of *Ulysses 31* and the narrator in *Nobody's Boy: Remi*. For his contribution, he is recognized as one of the most emblematic voices in the French audiovisual landscape, a familiar presence that has marked the collective imagination of entire generations.
