Trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique, he began his career in French cinema, distinguishing himself in films such as *Les Grandes Gueules* (1965) by Robert Enrico. His fame grew significantly in Italy, where he became a familiar face in genre cinema. His most famous role is as Alfred in the action-comedy *Sette uomini d'oro* (1965) by Marco Vicario and its sequel, *Il grande colpo dei 7 uomini d'oro* (1966).
