
Jenny Slate
Jenny Slate is an American actress, comedian, voice actress, and author. She began her career in stand-up comedy and was a cast member on *Saturday Night Live* for one season (2009–2010). Her breakthrough leading role was in the film *Obvious Child* (2014), for which she won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy. She is known for her voice work in animated films such as *Zootopia* (Bellwether) and *The Secret Life of Pets* (Gidget), and in TV series like *Bob's Burgers* and *Big Mouth*. On television, she has played recurring roles in series such as *Parks and Recreation* and *Kroll Show*. She is the co-creator of the character Marcel the Shell, the protagonist of short films, books, and the Academy Award-nominated feature film *Marcel the Shell with Shoes On* (2021), which she also voiced and co-wrote. She has also published the book of essays *Little Weirds*. Her career is distinguished by its versatility across comedic, dramatic, and voice-acting roles.
