Jerry Torre
Jerry Torre, also known as "The Marble Faun," is an American personality who became famous for his appearance in the Maysles brothers' cult documentary *Grey Gardens* (1975). Following his early experience in East Hampton with Edith and Edie Beale, Torre pursued various career paths, working for decades as a taxi driver in New York and as a gardener for the Saudi royal family. Returning to the public eye later in life, he developed a career as a sculptor. His life was the subject of the documentary *The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens* (2016), directed by Jason Hay and Steve Pellicane, which explores his personal story beyond his iconic appearance. In 2018, he also published the memoir *The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens: A Memoir of the Beales, the Maysles Brothers, and Life in Between*, solidifying his status as a key figure in the cult following surrounding the original film and offering a first-hand account of that period.
