James Nash Siedow (Cheyenne, June 12, 1920 – Houston, November 20, 2003) was an American actor and theater director. He is universally known for his role as Drayton Sawyer, the sinister cook and cannibalistic patriarch, in Tobe Hooper's cult horror film *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre* (1974). He reprised the same iconic character in the sequel, *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2* (1986), becoming one of the few actors from the original cast to return. Prior to his success in film, Siedow enjoyed a long and respected career in theater. He was a co-founder and director of the Houston Theater Center, where he directed and starred in numerous productions, establishing himself as a prominent figure in Houston's theater scene. His film career outside of the franchise was limited to a few other appearances. Although he did not receive any major awards, his unforgettable performance as the Cook earned him iconic status in horror cinema, widely recognized by critics and fans of the genre worldwide.
