
John Bluthal
John Bluthal (born Isaac Bluthal; Jezierzany, 12 August 1929 – Goulburn, 15 November 2018) was a Polish-Australian actor, naturalised British. Raised in Australia, he moved to the United Kingdom in the late 1950s, where he embarked on a prolific career spanning theatre, radio, television, and film, becoming a respected character actor. He is primarily remembered for his comedic roles. His best-known works include appearances in several films of the "Pink Panther" saga, the Beatles' film *Help!* (1965), and "'Allo 'Allo!". On television, his most celebrated and popular role was that of Frank Pickle in the BBC sitcom "The Vicar of Dibley", which he played from 1994 to 2007. He was also the last voice to join the radio cast of "The Goon Show". Although he did not receive major formal awards, his versatility and consistent presence in highly successful productions made him a familiar and respected figure in British entertainment for over sixty years.
