John Cygan (New York, April 27, 1954 – Los Angeles, May 13, 2017) was an American actor and voice actor. His career is best known for his role as Detective Paulie Pentangeli in the television series *The Commish* (1991-1996) and for his numerous appearances in other successful television productions. However, he left an indelible mark on the world of voice acting, particularly in the video game industry. He voiced iconic characters such as Solidus Snake in the *Metal Gear Solid* saga and Canderous Ordo in *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic*. His voice acting credits also include collaborations with Pixar on films such as *Cars*, *Toy Story 3*, and *Up*.
