John Emery

John Emery (1905-1964) was an American stage, film, and television actor. Known for his stage presence and precise diction, he specialized in roles as an elegant and sophisticated antagonist. His career took off on Broadway in the 1930s, where he appeared in successful productions such as "The Women" (1936) and "Angel Street." In film, he is remembered for his performances in classic films such as "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" (1941), Alfred Hitchcock's "Spellbound" (1945), where he played Dr. Fleurot, and "Joan of Arc" (1948). His filmography includes over fifty titles, often in crucial supporting roles.
