John Dezso Ratzenberger (Bridgeport, April 6, 1947) is an American actor, voice actor, and entrepreneur. He is best known for his role as the know-it-all mailman Cliff Clavin in the sitcom *Cheers*, which he played from 1982 to 1993. This performance earned him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor. His film career includes small but memorable parts in films such as *The Empire Strikes Back*, as Major Derlin, and *Superman*. Starting in 1995, he became an iconic figure for Pixar Animation Studios, voicing a character in each of their feature films from *Toy Story* (as Hamm the piggy bank) through *Onward* (2020), earning him the moniker of the studio's "good luck charm." Among his most notable voice roles for Pixar are Mack in *Cars*, the Abominable Snowman in *Monsters, Inc.*, and P.T. Flea in *A Bug's Life*.
