
Josh Pais
Josh Pais is an American actor, director, and acting coach. He is known to the public for playing Raphael in the film *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* (1990), providing both the voice and the in-suit physical performance. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a versatile character actor, working with internationally renowned directors on numerous film and television productions. Among his most significant roles are those in films such as *A Beautiful Mind* (2001), *Motherless Brooklyn* (2019), and *Joker* (2019), in which he plays the protagonist's boss. His filmography also includes appearances in successful television series such as *Ray Donovan* and *The Dropout*. In addition to acting, Pais directed the documentary *7th Street* and founded his own acting method, Committed Impulse. For his performance in *Joker*, he shared the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture with the rest of the cast.
