Juan Esplandiu
Juan Esplandiu is a Spanish painter, born in Cartagena, considered one of the leading figures of contemporary abstract expressionism in Spain. His career is characterized by a constant exploration of color and matter, through an energetic and gestural painting technique. His works, often large-format, are distinguished by their chromatic intensity and a deep emotional connection with landscape, nature, and memory. He has developed significant pictorial cycles, such as the "Horizontes" and "Paisajes de la memoria" series, where the canvas becomes a space for introspection and expressive force.
