
Judd Hirsch
Judd Hirsch is an American actor, known for his versatile career in theater, television, and film. His stage career has been recognized with two Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Play, for the productions *I'm Not Rappaport* (1986) and *Conversations with My Father* (1992). On television, he achieved international fame playing Alex Reiger in the sitcom *Taxi* (1978-1983), a role that earned him two Emmy Awards. He gained further success with the series *Dear John* (1988-1992), for which he won a Golden Globe, and more recently with *Numb3rs* (2005-2010). On the big screen, Hirsch has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor: the first for his role as the psychiatrist in *Ordinary People* (1980), and the second, over forty years later, for his portrayal of Uncle Boris in *The Fabelmans* (2022). His other film credits include *Independence Day* (1996) and *A Beautiful Mind* (2001).
