Junko Iwao (岩男 潤子, Iwao Junko, born February 18, 1970) is a Japanese voice actress, actress, and singer. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a member of the idol group Saint Four, later making her debut as a voice actress (seiyuu) in 1994. Her career took off with prominent roles such as Hikari Horaki in *Neon Genesis Evangelion*. She is particularly known for voicing Tomoyo Daidouji in *Cardcaptor Sakura* and the protagonist Mima Kirigoe in Satoshi Kon's critically acclaimed animated film *Perfect Blue*. Other notable roles include Ceres in *Ayashi no Ceres* and Kasumi in the early installments of the *Dead or Alive* video game series. In parallel with her voice acting, she has pursued a prolific music career, releasing numerous albums and singles that showcase her vocal talents. Her versatility and ability to portray complex characters, both gentle and tormented, have made her one of the most recognizable and acclaimed voices in Japanese animation of the 1990s and beyond.
