
Kamel Benchemekh
Kamel Benchemekh is an Algerian actor, born in Oran in 1957. A prominent figure in Algerian theater, his career is closely linked to the Théâtre Régional d'Oran, where he has played numerous memorable roles, establishing himself as one of the most talented actors of his generation. Among his most acclaimed theatrical performances are works such as *El Ghoula* and *Hafila Tassir*, often in collaboration with the renowned playwright Abdelkader Alloula. Alongside his work on stage, Benchemekh has developed a significant film career, participating in notable films such as *Morituri* (2007) by Okacha Touita and *Héliopolis* (2020) by Djaâfar Gacem.
