Karen Winther (born 1978) is a Norwegian director and screenwriter, known for her documentaries that explore complex themes such as extremism and deradicalization. This experience deeply informs her most celebrated work, the autobiographical documentary *Exit* (also known as *The Betrayal*, 2018), in which she confronts her own past and dialogues with other former extremists from different ideological backgrounds.
