Karl Meixner
Karl Meixner, born in Graz in 1962, is an Austrian actor. After graduating from the prestigious Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, he began his career on stage. Since 1991, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Burgtheater in Vienna, one of the most important German-language theatres, where he has distinguished himself for his versatility by playing a wide repertoire of classic and contemporary roles. Alongside his theatre work, he became widely known to the general public through numerous appearances in television and film productions, including the series "Inspector Rex" and "Tatort," and the film "Hinterholz 8." He has received significant awards for his work, winning the Nestroy Theatre Prize for Best Supporting Actor in 2014 and receiving the honorary title of Kammerschauspieler, a high Austrian honor for artistic merit.
