Keiko Awaji (淡路 恵子, Awaji Keiko; 1933–2014) was a Japanese actress whose career spanned over six decades. She debuted at a young age in post-war cinema, gaining immediate recognition for her role in Akira Kurosawa's film *Stray Dog* (1949). Her fame reached an international level with her participation in the Hollywood production *The Bridges at Toko-Ri* (1954), where she acted alongside William Holden and Grace Kelly. In her home country, she continued to be a prolific performer, working with prominent directors such as Yasujirō Ozu in *Early Spring* (1956). Throughout her long artistic career, she received major accolades, including the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1957 for her performances in the films *Kiiroi karasu* and *Shitamachi*. In 2014, she was posthumously honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Japan Academy, a testament to her significant contribution to Japanese cinema.
