Keith William Richards, born on December 18, 1943, in Dartford, is a British guitarist, songwriter, and singer, celebrated worldwide as a co-founder and member of the Rolling Stones. Together with singer Mick Jagger, he formed one of the most prolific and influential songwriting partnerships in the history of rock music, penning countless global hits. He is universally recognized for his innovative and rhythmic guitar style, often based on the use of open G tuning, which has generated some of the most iconic riffs of all time, such as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", and "Start Me Up". His career also includes solo projects, notably with the band X-Pensive Winos, with whom he released acclaimed albums such as "Talk Is Cheap". Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Stones, he is consistently ranked by leading music publications among the greatest guitarists of all time. His 2010 autobiography, "Life", received widespread critical and commercial success.
