Ken Foree, born Kentotis Alvin Foree in Indianapolis on February 29, 1948, is an American actor, best known for his iconic role as Peter Washington in George A. Romero's 1978 horror film *Dawn of the Dead*. This performance established him as a prominent figure in genre cinema. His career continued with roles in other notable horror films, including *From Beyond* (1986), *The Dentist* (1996), and the 2004 remake of *Dawn of the Dead*, in which he made a cameo appearance. He also established a strong collaboration with director Rob Zombie, appearing in films such as *The Devil's Rejects* (2005) and *Halloween* (2007).
