Kevin Maurice Garnett, a former American professional basketball player, is considered one of the greatest and most versatile big men in NBA history. Drafted straight from high school in the 1995 NBA Draft, he spent his first twelve seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, becoming the face of the franchise and winning the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2004. In 2007, he was traded to the Boston Celtics, forming the "Big Three" with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen and winning his only NBA championship in 2008, a year in which he was also named Defensive Player of the Year. After a brief stint with the Brooklyn Nets, he returned to Minnesota to end his career. His accolades include an Olympic gold medal (Sydney 2000), 15 All-Star Game selections, and 12 All-Defensive Team selections. For his intensity, leadership, and revolutionary impact on the power forward position, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.
